Request deletion by email
Send an email with the subject “Delete my Litarium account.” Use the email address connected to your account, if you can.
We may ask you to verify that the account belongs to you. If you no longer have access to its email address, tell us so we can help verify ownership. Do not send a password or sign-in code.
We will confirm receipt and, after any necessary ownership verification, tell you the scheduled deletion date. Privacy requests are handled without undue delay and within the deadlines required by applicable law.
Or use the app
- Open Litarium and go to Settings.
- Find Delete Account, then select Delete account.
- Review what will be removed and confirm.
The app signs you out after accepting the request and shows your scheduled deletion date. If the option is unavailable in your test build, use email instead.
30-day recovery window
A confirmed request starts a 30-day recovery window. Before it ends, you can sign in, go to Settings, and choose Restore account.
After that window, your account is permanently deleted and cannot be restored. Export anything you want to keep before requesting deletion.
What is deleted
Your account and sign-in records, profile, library, shelves, progress, ratings, notes, reviews, social data, raw billing identity, and account-linked operational records are removed.
What may be kept
Some restricted records may remain for legal, billing, or safety reasons:
- Up to seven years: pseudonymous billing and legal evidence.
- Up to two years: safety and moderation records.
- 90 days: detailed deletion-support receipts.
A legal hold may require us to keep a specific record longer. These records are not used to restore your account or continue providing the service.
You can ask about retained records, backup copies, or a request to erase your data under applicable privacy law. The recovery window does not limit your statutory privacy rights.
Subscriptions are separate
If you have a paid subscription, deleting your Litarium account does not cancel it. Cancel through the store where you purchased it.
